Only 2 more days before my trip. I asked my friends to accompany me (more like give me a ride because the car I’ve been using is still under repair) to buy some more pasalubongs. :)

We had our dinner at Pei Wei, obviously. It’s my first time dining there. I liked the food, but quite expensive. At least for me.

Aubrey, Kisses, Paola, and Noel.

Aubrey, and I.
I noticed, my blog is gradually turning into a food blog. Haha. It just goes to show how much of a pig my friends and I are. These explain why I regained the weight I lost from working out for a month. Oh well. At least mine thinks I’m sexy. LOL.

Mongolian Shrimp.

Honey Seared Shrimp.

Chicken with Spicy Korean Curry

Mongolian Beef.

Hot and Sour soup. Whenever I see this in any restaurant, I just have to order it. Really.

Sale ate Aldo’s. I was looking for shoes for my nieces.

QWERTY sole.

I think these shoes will make ANY girl sexy. :)
WARNING: photo flood ahead.
It’s a Thursday night, but I don’t know what have gotten in their (Paola, Kisses, and Wendy) minds that they were willing to wait for me at the garage for 30 minutes just so we can go anywhere the wheels lead us to.
We decided to have our very late dinner at Cafe 101 (as usual, and like I’ve said a million times, it’s probably one of the very few places that are open at this time). There were KTV bars nearby. I contacted them, and reserved a room. Next thing I knew, I was screaming at the top of my lungs ( or at least I pretended to). LOL.

Free beer. Probably because the karaoke bar is pretty much empty. And to show their gratitude for our presence, perhaps.

I want those sexy chairs. Really.

Pineapple shrimp for Princesly.

Soo gay. But I’d love to have an iPhone case, just like that. bwahaha.

Lavender Milk Tea for me.

Wendy and her not-so awesome chicken..ahm…I don’t recall the name. But whatever, it was no good, anyway. She barely ate any.

Wendy and I.

And off we go. We reserved a room for 1230 thinking it’s open till the morn. The karaoke bar closed at 2 am. I think we spent half our time learning how to use their machine, and searching for songs.

Bruno Mars! Half of the time, we were basically watching the songs’ MTVs because we were too dumb to figure out that we could actually turn off the vocals so we could sing it ourselves. Haha.

And a fourth of our time was spent on Wendy keying the numbers for our song. Talk about stubby fingers.

Budlight! My buddy.
Since we were sorta unsatisfied with our time spent karaoke-ing, we tried looking for more KTV’s opened. Found none. But hey, we were really determined on rummaging around town just to find one open, until they remembered that it’s just Thursday, and they do have works/clinicals tomorrow. And so we headed home, still unsatisfied.
My family celebrated New year at Cafe 101 just because we did not prepare any food at home. We were all lazy, and ahm…exhausted. I guess. I don’t know, we really never celebrate New Year the way we used to celebrate back when we were in the Philippines.
Cafe 101 has always been one of my favorite restaurants here in Houston for several reason. First, its menu offers fusion of food from different Asian countries (Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese). Second, the place looks modern, and tidy, unlike other restaurant around Bellaire Blvd. (China Town). Third, they accept credit cards. Most Asian restaurant around China Town usually just accept cash. And lastly, they have two big projectors that play MTVs of KPOP music. LOL.

Squid and shrimp with triple sauce has always been my favorite.

Beef Brisket Hotpot.

Bento Box for my little YenYen. Too bad he wasn’t able to enjoy as much because he had toothache. Poor baby. Haha.

Last week, friends and I decided to chill after dinner at Cafe 101. We were heading towards Starbucks when I suggested that we should go to Agora instead. I spent majority of my studying during my college years at Starbucks, and I really just wanted a new environment.
I’ve only been in Agora once, and that was about 5 years ago when I just met Noel and Kisses. I liked the cozy feel. They offer gourmet coffees, imported ales and beers, european delicacies (greek yogurts, and cheese), and more.
I got myself a Cafe Au Lait. The greek biscuit that comes with it really complements the not-too-sweet taste of their coffee.

What I like the most about agora is the ambiance. I love cozy places like this where I can just drink my coffee, relax, stare and observe people. Haha. Freaky.

At Agora, you may enjoy collections of replicas of ancient art pieces on their wall and crevices.

Noel and Aubrey.

Yours truly, Tita Aida, Noel, Aubrey, and Ate Roxanne. Thanks Paola for taking the picture. This photo is probably the sharpest among the 20 shots that you took. Haha. Great Job!

I will probably chill at Agora more often especially in times where I really just need to be away from my lonely room. I’ve been spending way too much time here in my room, it almost feels like a prison. LOL.
Ciao.

I’m craving…BADLY.
